BRIXTON CANNING "Complete Showman"

With a little fanfare, an amazing intro and a whole lot of rockin, Brixton Canning opened at Gia's Fashion Cabaret & Event Center with a frenzy. Whipping the crowd with Wild Night is Calling and Rocking Good Time, the Brix was the complete showman. With a crowd made up of mostly female av's, the girls were hooting and whooping while Canning drove them crazy.
Brixton truly is the complete showman. His show is nothing less than professional and his song selection doesn't give you a chance to catch your breath. Driving into Cherry Cherry and Lay Down Sally, Brixton knows how to please his audience and the ladies in the club lapped it up. With driving backtracks, he steers his followers through an amazing array of rock songs like Doing It For My Baby, and Fever. His voice is strong, clear, deep and alluring. His presence is obvious and he commands the stage and attention.

While Canning can rock with the best of them, his voice is truly at it's best when he mellows out. Call Me Irresponsible and Walking in Memphis had Gia's Cabaret swooning. This Missouri bred singer is perhaps one of the best in sl. His arrangements are tailored to his voice and style.

Brixton Canning is the essence of second life live acts. Performing Lost and then a pretty sexy, mellow and inspirational version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow left most of the females in attendance hunting for tissues. Closing off his sixteen song set with My Baby Wrote Me A Letter, Brixton left the crowd the way he entered, with a thunderous fanfare, and a screaming ovation.

Where a lot of sl performers are limited to their one hour set, Brixton played for nearly an hour and a half due partly to the fact that no one was scheduled after him, but also because he appears to love performing. You get the feeling he could go on forever. Probably wouldn't be a bad thing.
