GRACE MCDUNNOUGH "Modern Day Balladeer"

.
A lazy Saturday evening, hung over from a fun day in 4th of July partying, found me dropping over yet again to hear another one of my in world favorite singers and a quick dose of folk, soul, alternative rock and blues by the ever outstanding Grace McDunnough at Hips, on Heron Island. I was not to be disappointed as she always pours her very being, heart and soul into each moving song she performs. She opened the evening with an incredible rendition of Nothing Compares To You by Sinéad O'Connor, following with original songs "Plain Jane and Proud Elizabeth", "Two AM", "Fallen State Of Grace", "Wish For You", "Morning Sun", "Fairy Tale", and "October". She draws her inspiration from life and through such singer-songwriters as Damien Rice, k. d. lang, Joan Armatrading and KT Tunstall, in a style that can only be called totally Grace. She reaches into your heart, soul and being, bringing magnificently to song experiences we all go through in day to day life perfectly. She plays a variety of acoustic sets on an old guitar combined with her strong spirit in lyrics and vocals leaving one in complete amazement and wonder as she touches each of our life events through song. She is truly one of the finest of modern day balladeers and one we are all truly blessed to have in world performing for us on regular basis.

Aside from being one of our wonderful in world live music artists, she is also creator of Musimmersion. a unique way of scripting sets that gives the ability for an in world musician to create 3D environments for songs at a given event, venue or song. Thus a perform
er can control/create any images to mind that may be imagined from the song by creating 3D sets to suite moods or message in the artist's song.

She is also founder of Mill Pond Folk Festival, a remarkable music festival effort created by live musicians and artists in our virtual world environment of Second Life ™. The site offers an out of world point to enjoy our in world musicians from Australia, Canada, England, Europe, and the United States.

Not only is she an inspiring, talented professional in as well as out of world musician she is one of those great history trail blazers we often read about in books who are looking out for our best enjoyment of all things and taking us all into the future beyond the future we know of as "now
".
