Talk about lucking into seeing a great performer! I went to Helle’s Angels to see a favorite performer and decided to stay for the next show to hear Auzzie Blackburn and I was totally blown away. As one might guess from his name, Auzzie is from Australia. His billing said he "...has one of the more powerful voices you will hear..." and his opening note sure proved it. As powerful a voice as I have heard in-world. He had me from that first note.
He covered Green Day's “Good Riddance" and truly made it his own. Auzzie "...started playing guitar relatively late in life and..." "...loves playing everything from Blues rock ballads Folk to Australian...". As his set continued, CCR's "Bad moon Rising" was just awesome. During his set, his stream started to cut in and out. When he realized this, he posted his stream URL so we didn't have to listen through the viewer.
His guitar playing complemented his voice perfectly. He would sound great if he started singing a-cappella! I sat mesmerized as he sang "Hallelujah". I melted as he sang "Amazed". This was one time I was not upset that there was little crowd interaction as we got to hear more music. Auzzie would thank the crowd for tips and then launch into the next song. He covered "Mr. Bo Jangles", "Solitary Man", "Shillo", "Hotel California", El Condor Pasa" and "Bridge over Troubled Water" before he sang a song that I did not know but I think was called "Last Thing on my Mind". He ended his incredible set with "After Midnight" and left me wanting more. When are they going to start doing encores in-world?
Make sure you catch Auzzie Blackburn's powerful vocals the next time you are in-world.
