WENDY CURTISS "Refreshing"

by jenny heying

With a voice that resonates throughout the sim, Wendy Curtiss is an unmovable rock in the second life music scene. Before a modest crowd of approximately 22 people at the Memphis Pavilion on Laurel Arts Isle, Wendy showcased her slightly domineering voice and a less than classic brand of country/blues.

Opening with Please Don't Go and What Are You Waiting For?, displayed Wendy's vocal talent as well as her more than capable accompaniment on acoustic guitar. The strong clear stream let Wendy take over the sim and no one would really mind. She is a strong, confident singer and never falters through her set list. Wendy Curtiss not only sings and plays the guitar, she is an accomplished writer as well with four cd's under her belt. She performs a lot of her original material and no wonder, it's very very good.
She excelled on I'd Walk Away and left us in awe with Is This All There Is? It's Summertime had us all dreaming of the season to come.

Wendy Curtiss is the quintessential second life musician. She is fun, lively, sings, plays guitar, writes and definitely puts on a show. She is refreshing to watch, a pleasure to listen to and is what performances in second life ought to be. Her show is one you never want to end.

Like most second life musicians, Wendy is sure to not only acknowledge those who tip, but everyone in attendance. She appreciates the crowd and they appreciate her. With songs like It's A Drag, Angel From Montgomery, This Time, Hard World, Time, It' Too Late and Waiting On The World To Change in her far too short song list, Wendy continued to prove throughout the afternoon why she is at the top of the second life music hierarchy. Wendy's talent is obvious. See For Yourself.
